Peace found Through PaintingWhite Barn;

May through July 2009

About the Artist Jeremy Eden

"Growing up on a farm I developed a special attachment to farm buildings. I enjoy viewing and researching other vintage buildings to better understand the history behind them. When I view a building I wonder about the history of it, who used Gone Fishing; the building, what they did and how they lived their lives. I also enjoy painting other beautiful objects from life.

I paint with watercolors because I enjoy the challenge of working with water and paint. The transparent nature of watercolors make the paintings feel peaceful to me. I try to add some color to my paintings to help add interest to the subject. I usually do this in the sky because it is fun to create beautiful skies to set the mood of the painting.

Each of my paintings show the peace I feel when viewing nature and buildings. After being treated for cancer I found that painting gives me peace and a sense of calmness. I hope that those that view my paintings can experience them the same way I have. After having cancer a certain quote "Live life with an attitude of gratitude" continues to influence my painting experience along with my life experience." Plenty of Petunias;
