About the Show

Moving paint around on canvas was my form of therapy after being diagnosed with cancer, when words could not articulate what happened within my body. The pain after my surgery was so incredible that dripping drops of paint onto a canvas, repeatedly, for hours, was the only thing that kept my mind focused and free.

For the first three years, almost all of my paintings contained circles. I then moved on to working the flow and rhythm of my pieces. Within the past few years my focus switched to textures, which elevated them to another dimension, figuratively and literally. Most start with a base of flowers, circles, or lines and reveal themselves through an unimagined birth.

These paintings were made with love and whimsy.
