Candle Lighting for Hope & Remembrance

Shared burdens get a little lighter

Follow the transitions of loss through art, music and readings.

Listen as families share stories of their loved ones.

View the Remembrance Video of submitted photos.

Display a treasured memento of your loved one.

Light a candle in memory of those lost -- and as testament to our hope and commitment that cancer and blood disorders will be conquered.

You are invited to remember your loved one in any or all of the following three ways:

  • Add a name to the Memorial Book preserved at the U-M Cancer Center
  • Create a memorial comment for the program booklet
  • Submit a photo for the Remembrance Video
    Please read our photograph submissions web page for information and instructions.


    • You may submit any of the above using our submission form - opens as a .pdf document. Note: in order for photographs to be included in the completed video, they must be received by October 2, 2009.

Rain or shine. Registration is encouraged. The event and parking are free.
