Cancer Support Groups

  • U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center Social Work and Support Groups
    A social worker counsels persons diagnosed with cancer and their families with difficulties related to illness. For further information, visit the web site or call 734-764-3140.
  • "I Can Cope" Educational Series is provided by the American Cancer Society for persons diagnosed with cancer and their families. "I Can Cope" provides education and practical techniques for dealing with emotional issues related to cancer diagnosis and treatment. For more information call 734-763-0134 (within Wastenaw County) or 1-800-ACS-2345 (nationally).
  • Head and Neck Cancer Support Group
    A University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center support group for patients, families and friends. Check the web site for meeting location, times and dates or call 734-936-6037 for more information.

  • Access Depression Services - Washtenaw County Health Department. Access is available only for Washtenaw County residents. No fee. For information, call 734-481-2502.
  • The U-M General Adult Psychiatry Program. To schedule an appointment, please call: 734-764-9190. There is a fee for service that may or may not be covered by insurance.
