Michigan Football Academy Scores!

U-M Head Football Coach Lloyd Carr and the Wolverine Football Coaching Staff instructed 500 participants of the first Michigan Football Women's Academy on team offense and defense strategies, terminology and rules. Ameritech and the U-M Athletic Department were corporate partners for the Academy, which was held on June 26 at the Michigan Football Complex.

Coach Fred Jackson taught participants the art of the hand-off during one of several skills workshops. Proceeds from the Academy support the "Coach Carr Cancer Fund" established to supplement patient care and wellness programs within the Cancer Center.

Coach Erik Campbell, Michigan Football Women's Academy director, answered participants' questions during the lunch break provided by Sausages By Amy. Coach Campbell is already planning next year's Academy, tentatively scheduled for June 17.
