To boost funding and increase awareness of the U-M Cancer Center, Detroit-area businessmen and long-time center supporters Jay Alix and Steve Radom have created the not-for-profit University Cancer Foundation.
"The U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of only a handful of premier, accredited cancer centers in the country. We created the foundation to help provide additional financial support for this top-notch organization," says Alix. "We're proud and privileged to be able to offer the best care available," says Center Director Max Wicha, M.D. "Some of the greatest minds and technologies are under our roof, and the establishment of this foundation will ensure our important work continues." For more information, please contact the foundation's executive director Laura Stern at (248) 262-8442.
