Spring to Life Celebrates 10th Year in Style!

The University of Michigan Cancer Center partnered with Ford Motor Company for the 10th annual Spring to Life Brunch and Art Auction. Once again, the Common Grill, Cousins Heritage Inn, Food for All Seasons and The Moveable Feast united with Fine Flowers of Ann Arbor for a magnificent array of culinary and floral creations.

SmithKline Beecham representative Jeff David(far left), joined by his wife Mikey Haven-David and guests Holly Anselmi and Frank Worden, was honored with the Volunteer Appreciation Award. Other awardees included Ruth Taubman; Nancy Clark, decoration chair and volunteer; and Gerri Lewis of Action Rental.

Silent auction winner Nancy Vandewiele (below) is accompanied by her mother, Lee Vandewiele, a Cancer Center volunteer. Nancy displays her art entitled, "Shadows," donated by Carol Roeda. More than 180 artists from across the country graciously donated art for this year's auction.

Caroline Engelbert with twin daughters April and Zoey enjoyed the afternoon full of delightful art, food, flowers and socializing. More than 500 guests and volunteers gathered to support the U-M Cancer Center on Sunday, April 2, at Washtenaw Community College. This year's event raised more than $220,000 through private and corporate donations.

Fine Flowers of Ann Arbor provided the spectacular flower arrangements accompanying the feast.
