Join the Fight Against Breast and Prostate CancersThe Michigan Cancer Consortium along with the Michigan Department of Community Health have developed a unique way for Michigan residents to feel good about filing your taxes this year by supporting Michigan Tax Check-Offs to Fight Cancer. On the Voluntary Contributions Schedule (Form 4642) associated with your 2008 Michigan Individual Income Tax Return (Form MI-1040), youll find check boxes to donate $5, $10, or more to cancer support and research in Michigan. The funds will be distributed to Michigan organizations -- such as the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center -- working hard to combat cancer. Go to the Michigan Tax Check-Offs to Fight Cancer web page to learn how to make a donation using your tax return, as well as how you can spread the word through a web site, a blog, a myspace and/or a facebook page!
