Living with Cancer > Advocacy
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, but you can advocate for change at any time:
- Sign a childhood cancer petition
endorsed by CureSearch, the Lance Armstrong Foundation and others.
- Send your legislators a letter to thank them for supporting the Caroline Pryce Walker Conquer Childhood Cancer Act.
While you're at it, ask for their vote in supporting budget increases for the National Institutes of Health and
childhood cancer research. Learn more.
- Find out more about a new group that's working to raise awareness of childhood cancer.
"People Against Childhood Cancer"
includes representatives from CureSearch, Team Unite, medical professionals, Stand Up 2
Cancer and, importantly, families who want to make a difference.
- Take a couple minutes to check out this
compelling video about childhood cancer and the opportunities you
have to help find a solution.
