Knit Michigan, hands create for the cure
February 6, 2010

Knit Michigan - hands create for the cure will take place Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills

A fiber-focused fundraising event will again be co-chaired by Bridget Dean of "have you any wool?" and Joan Sheridan of Heritage Spinning & Weaving. The event offers the opportunity to learn how to knit, crochet, spin or felt. There will be a market area which will host vendors from around the State. You might want to be a "Marathoner" where you will learn, shop, participate in contests, select from a collection of classes and much more. Lunch is also available. The event also focuses on the creation and donation of comfort items such as chemo caps, lap blankets, pillows, and teddy bears.
