Coach Carr Fund Mission

The Coach Carr Cancer Fund believes that caring for cancer patients goes beyond simply treating the disease. Patients and their families need information, support and recognition of the changes taking place in their lives.

It only takes three words to irreversibly change one's life: You have cancer. Hearing these words is a frightening experience for a person and their loved ones. Cancer does not discriminate - it strikes people of all ages and walks of life. It is a complex, deadly disease, which often progresses at a furious pace and can cause great pain and suffering.

Despite the complexity of cancer, patients today are being cured as never before. However, treatment against cancer is typically aggressive and can be extremely difficult on the patient and their families.

Therefore, our mission is quite simple - the Coach Carr Cancer Fund helps raise funds to support valuable patient care programs at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
