Psych Oncology Clinic

Coordinates the services provided to U-M Cancer Center patients by the PsychOncology Program.

Services:
  • Support and education groups
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Crisis management counseling
  • Instructional programs on topics such as:
    • parenting and cancer
    • grief and loss
    • handling the holidays

The clinic provides U-M Cancer Center patients with access to clinical social workers, psychiatrists and nurse practitioners. The goal of the PsychOncology Clinic is the completion of a comprehensive screening determining the level of distress, and assessment of specific needs. Together, the patient and the trained counselor can then develop an action plan detailing which resources and services will best help reduce the distress. Appropriate recommendations and referrals can be made at that time.

Location and Appointment Information

The clinic is located on the third floor of the Med Inn Building. Consultations are available by calling 877-907-0859. View Maps and directions to the Med Inn.
