Some insurance companies may cover the cost of semen cryopreservation, but most do not. If funding is a
concern for you, we encourage you to speak to your social worker at: 734-647-8587 (adult patients) or
734-764-3140 (pediatric patients) Social Workers have access to a number of financial resources available to you based on your financial need. This includes a list of organizations that may be able to provide financial assistance for all or some of the costs incurred during the initial cryopreservation phase. Withdrawal of specimens (per order):When you want to use your cryopreserved vials to attempt pregnancy, additional charges for preparing and shipping semen samples to the physician’s office will be made.Handling and packing charge for each order. $112.00 Tank shipping round trip Current Market Price Late tank return fee; to be assessed daily after 10 days $ 25.00/day
FertileHOPE provides a generous discount for sperm banking to qualifying patients. However, this only applies to patients who select GIVF Sperm Bank in Virginia. GIVF accepts specimens by overnight mail. The patient is responsible for all aspects of services. This information is provided as a service.
