Breast Wellness Clinic

The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center's Breast Wellness Program is designed for women who have had breast cancer. Jennifer J. Griggs, M.D., M.P.H., a Cancer Center oncologist, oversees the clinic. During a visit, patients meet with a nurse practitioner with extensive education and training in the care of breast care patients.

Patients receive a comprehensive breast examination as well as a mammogram, which is read by expert radiologists. If any abnormalities are detect, prompt referral to an oncologist is standard.

At the end of your visit, a written summary will be sent to your primary-care doctor or referring physician to ensure continuity of your care.

All new patients must be referred by their breast oncologist. Your physician will determine when the time is right for referral to the Breast Wellness Program.
