Thoracic cancers are primarily located in the chest cavity and include tumors of the lungs, chest wall, esophagus, diaphragm and mediastinum. Learn more about them: The Thoracic Oncology Program provides diagnosis and treatment for patients with lung, esophageal and other cancers located in the chestThe Thoracic Oncology Program focuses on the care of patients with intrathoracic cancers - including esophageal cancer, small cell and non-small cell lung cancer, thymic malignancies and mesothelioma - as well as research aimed at developing more effective therapy for these diseases. The program is staffed by thoracic surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists, pathologists and nurses dedicated to providing patients with the best possible care.
