The University of Michigan AdvantageThe University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center Multidisciplinary Endocrine Oncology Program brings experts in related fields together to provide coordinated, exceptional patient care. Patients benefit from the experience and expertise of many physicians, n ot just one. Members of the team are leaders in their fields, known nationally and internationally for their expertise in treating adrenal cancer. Team members are also actively engaged in researching this disease.The team consists of physicians from medical endocrinology, endocrine surgery, radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and genetics. Each patient seen in the multidisciplinary clinic has his or her case discussed during a weekly Multidisciplinary Endocrine Oncology Tumor Board, allowing our experts to develop a comprehensive, integrated treatment plan. We also treat patients with endocrine disorders related to a genetic syndrome, including those with multiple endocrine neoplasia (Types I, IIA and IIB), Von Hipple-Lindau disease, neurofibromatosis, and Li-Fraumeni syndrome.
