We now have a range of treatments that can cure or delay the progression of cancer for many years. This progress would not have been possible without the help of patients who volunteered for clinical trials. But there is still more work to be done.Clinical trials are critical because they allow doctors to develop the most safe and effective treatments using a methodical, scientifically sound approach. Patients, meanwhile, receive the latest medicine has to offer while being carefully monitored by teams of experts who are leaders in their fields.
