Who We Are

Community Outreach is committed to developing and coordinating information, programming, and special events aimed at promoting cancer awareness among patients and their families, health professionals and the community.

What We Offer

• Speaker's Bureau - experts from the U-M Cancer Center give presentations for corporations, civic organizations, schools, churches and businesses
• Community Outreach Events - view this page for information about where Cancer Center experts are speaking in the community
• Minority Outreach Initiative - provides culturally- tailored community events and materials for communities of color
• Free cancer educational displays and materials for health fairs, meetings and conferences
• Free cancer screenings
• Community-wide event to celebrate National Cancer Survivors' Day in early June. Learn more.
• Teams of Cancer Center staff/faculty/survivors to participate in cancer related community events.
