Annual Events

The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center has a variety of events intended to inform, support and uplift those impacted by cancer. There is something for everyone. We also have events intended to raise awareness about the mission of the UM Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Our Events page lists what's scheduled for the next two months. What follows are events or programs with regularly scheduled or annual events:

  • Survivors' Day
This yearly event with cancer survivors, along with family members and health care professionals, celebrates life. This year's event will be held on June 3, 2012.
  • Candle Lighting for Hope and Remembrance
A yearly event held in early fall to remember and honor those who lost their struggle with cancer. The Candle Lighting took place on Saturday, September 17, 2011.
  • Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
A yearly event in October (held in association with the American Cancer Society) to raise awareness about breast cancer and money for research. This year's walk took place on October 22, 2011.
