Clinical Care

Our team approach to caring for cancer patients is driven by two truths:

Cancer is a complex and opportunistic disease.

    Each patient is truly unique.

Our clinics bring together all the experts needed to develop complete diagnosis and treatment plans. Physicians and nurses provide ongoing care, while each patient's needs determine the specialists involved. Together, they attack the cancer on many different levels.

Working in these teams and with colleagues in local communities throughout Michigan and at other leading centers in the country, our physicians use an array of advanced methods to detect cancer early and to treat it aggressively. Because many of our physicians are researchers or work in close concert with researchers, they know cancer intimately and care is informed by their work in the lab.

The result: Many cancers are being cured as never before.

Fourteen multidisciplinary clinics form the core of cancer care at Michigan provide one-stop access to comprehensive, timely, cost-effective and consensus-driven treatment from a panel of experts. These experts provide the most advanced care available by bringing the latest research to the patient.
