Groundbreaking research efforts are under way at the Cancer Center seeking answers to the myriad questions that cancer poses

Cancer researchers now know that cancer is fundamentally a genetic disease, occuring when the basic machinery of our cells goes awry, either from an inherited genetic defect or an environmental trigger, such as smoking or sun exposure.
