Gastrointestinal Cancers

Definition

Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer refers to cancers of the stomach, intestine, colon, rectum, or anus. Cancers of the liver, bile duct, gall bladder and ampulla are also GI cancers.

Getting Diagnosed / Treatment

GI cancers are treated at the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center in our Gastrointestinal Cancer Clinic.

Pancreatic Cancer and liver cancer are treated in their own clinics.
