child in Infusion Center The Pediatric Connective Tissue Oncology Program, in accord with the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center and Department of Pediatrics, is committed to the conquest of cancer in children with tumors of the bone, muscle or connective tissue, through innovation and collaboration between scientists and clinicians, both in adult and pediatric services, to achieve:

Superior and compassionate family centered care of children using a multidisciplinary approach;

Continuous improvement using scientific and technological innovation in cancer research, prevention, control and treatment; and

Excellence in training cancer researchers and health care providers.

Program Goal Overview

To extend and improve on our current outstanding clinical care offered to pediatric sarcoma patients.

To continue to offer and expand upon the clinical trials that offer access to the latest cancer treatments.

To develop the necessary preclinical and translational studies that will support our clinical trial efforts.

To research the biologic basis of sarcoma pathogenesis and prognosis.
