The Multidisciplinary Pancreatic Tumor Clinic

The clinic meets each Monday. Consultations with surgical oncologists, medical oncology and radiation oncology specialists are available the same day for patients with suspicion of, or with the diagnosis of, pancreatic cancer. In most instances, patients will be seen in the clinic the Monday following a referral.

The Clinic's Primary Goal: To provide a timely, multidisciplinary strategy to diagnose and effectively treat patients with pancreatic cancer.

The Clinic's Secondary Goal: To increase understanding of the biology of the disease and to improve on treatment results for patients through ongoing basic science and clinical trials research.

The Pancreatic Tumor Clinic offers:

• Diagnostic testing completed quickly, with same day procedures available
• Expertise in endoscopic procedures provided by gastroenterology clinicians
• Availability of interventional radiologists for biliary stenting and percutaneous biopsy procedures
• Specialized Pancreatic CT scan and endoscopic ultrasound procedures for diagnosis and staging
• Surgeons with extensive operative experience in the resection of pancreatic tumors
• Combined modality treatment approaches for localized pancreatic cancer
• Investigational therapies for pancreatic cancer
• Educational materials about the disease for patients and their families
• Rapid reports to the patient's primary care and/or referring physician
