Annual Events

The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center has a variety of events intended to inform, support and uplift those impacted by cancer. There is something for everyone. We also have events intended to raise awareness about the mission of the UM Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Our Events page lists what's scheduled for the next two months. What follows are events or programs with regularly scheduled or annual events:

  • Candle Lighting for Hope and Remembrance - This event will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008.
  • Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - A yearly event in October (held in association with the American Cancer Society) to raise awareness about breast cancer and money for research. This year's walk is October 18, 2008.
  • Survivors' Day: A yearly event with cancer survivors, along with family members and health care professionals, gathering to celebrate life. This year's event is June 7, 2009.
